Our Advanced Sound Practitioner Training offers a 40-hour immersion into the deeper realms of sound facilitation. Designed exclusively for experienced practitioners, this intensive program builds upon foundational skills to expand your sonic palette and refine your unique voice. Over two weekends of in-person training and a month of integration calls, you’ll explore advanced gong and flumie techniques, immersive soundscape creation, meditation guidance, and the subtle art of holding space. Limited to just 8 participants in most cases, this intimate setting allows for personalized attention as you develop more nuanced approaches to your practice. From exploring the intersection of sound with altered states to navigating cultural contexts, this Level II certification program invites you to transform your technical proficiency into a more profound, authentic expression of your sound practice.
Scene from a training in New River, Arizona
When graduates of my Level I course would ask: “When is the Level II training?” I would usually joke that Level II is all about how to load the car with instruments. After that, I would tell them that the reality is that Level II is mostly accomplished by going out and practicing, refining, listening, and cultivating the art of holding space. After seven years of this refrain, and working on an advanced curriculum I believed strongly in, I finally birthed a true Level II Advanced Training in 2025. It was time. This course goes deep and requires experience, knowledge and a commitment to mastering these practices.
Because of the nature of this training we will cover many other areas not mentioned. Each group brings its own energy and curiosities, which become our curriculum. As with all of our training, all instruments are provided for use during training but students who own their own gong, flute, bowls, or other instruments are encouraged to bring them! Assistance in purchasing instruments is provided for students interested.
This comprehensive 40-hour advanced certification program is designed for practicing sound practitioners seeking to deepen their craft, expand their technical skills, and develop their unique voice in the world of sound. Limited to 8 participants, this intimate training offers a rare opportunity to refine your practice under expert guidance in an immersive setting.
Note: Participants who have not taken our Level I course may complete a 20-hour online catch-up course. This online course will be included as part of the tuition.
